My service to play began in 1998, when I was first deployed as a Playworker to the frontline of school holiday playschemes in London while completing my BA in Film, Media & Cultural Studies at the University of Wolverhampton. In 2004, I proudly earned my NVQ Level 3 in Playwork. 

Since 2010, I have served as Director of Haringey Play Association, a role of great responsibility, and leading troops into the wild unknown of cardboard kingdoms. I have worked in parks, community centres, schools, pop-up sessions, youth clubs, Adventure Playgrounds… and even on the street (for play, of course). Wherever there is laughter to be sparked, a den to be built, or glorious chaos to be unleashed, I’ll be somewhere in the background, reflecting. Adventure, imagination, and fun have always been at the heart of what I do.

My favourite play memories are my summers in Lebanon in the 80’s & 90’s, running wild in the village, playing in the woods and streams from dusk to dawn, stealing fruit from the orchards while being chased by farmers. Playing & riding a bike in the courtyards of Beirut whenever the city fell quiet.
