Director
My service to the glorious cause of play began in 1998, when I was first deployed as a Playworker to the frontline of school holiday playschemes while studying Film, Media & Cultural Studies at the University of Wolverhampton (a noble institution of revolutionary thought and glitter glue). In 2004, I proudly earned my NVQ Level 3 in Playwork.
Since 2010, I have served as Director of Haringey Play Association – a role of great responsibility, strategic coffee deployment, and leading troops into the wild unknown of cardboard kingdoms and puddle-based economies. I have worked in parks, community centres, schools, pop-up sessions, youth clubs, and Adventure Playgrounds… and even on the street (for play, of course). Wherever there is laughter to be sparked, a den to be built, or glorious chaos to be unleashed – I’ll be somewhere in the background, reflecting. Adventure, imagination, and fun have always been at the heart of what I do.
