The Quangle Wangle’s Carnival took place over 10 weeks in the spring and summer of 2016.
The project was inspired by Edward Lear’s poem ‘The Quangle Wangle’s Hat’ which imagines a land of curious creatures and playful spaces.
Four local schools participated in daytime activities & workshops at Somerford Grove Adventure Playground. The young people learnt a range of skills including print-making and woodwork during workshops led by external facilitators.
The projected culminated in a parade around the local area to show off the huge lion’s head that the children had created as well as other quirky animals as featured in the carnival.
